Friends, I am so happy to report that my very first cookbook signing event was a success. Thanks to so many amazing people—friends, neighbors, perfect strangers—who made it possible. The signing took place on December 13 in Gatsby Books, a local independent bookstore in Long Beach. Sean, the owner, was very kind to accommodate the event on a very short notice. And it all worked out well.
So many people came to support me. I was overfilled with joy! My friends Yulia and Chris at Tea Amore, a producer of the finest loose leaf tea, which partnered with AZ Cookbook and created exclusive tea blends for my readers (available on www.azcookbook.com/store), helped serve our special tea to all the guests. The tea was enjoyed with home-made nut rolls-ups and Karabakh-style filled sweet bread, made by me from the recipes in the cookbook.
I gave a short introduction about the book and then we opened it to questions and answers. It was so much fun! Then was the signing. Never in my wildest dreams had I thought I one day would sign my own book. It was a beautiful experience. But most importantly, it was experience made beautiful thanks to many amazing people who were there for me. I was showered with flowers, gifts, and lots of attention. Spoiled, that is. It was a 2-hour event but the memories of it will live with me forever. Thank you so very much, guys! I am the luckiest cookbook author on Earth!
Here are some photos from the event, in no particular order. Some photos are not of the best quality, but I still wanted to share. Enjoy!
Wonderful photos, what a nice event!
Thank you, Maryann.
I was grinning and smiling from ear to ear! I am so thrilled and delighted and proud of you. Bravo my friend. I wish I was there to celebrate with you!
Thank you so much, Cynthia!
