My Cookbook is Ready to Pre-Order!

Pomegranates And Saffron Book CoverYes, yes, and yes! Finally!  My book – Pomegranates and Saffron: A Culinary Journey to Azerbaijan – is NOW ready to PRE-ORDER!

I am a bit too excited to put my thoughts into words. But I’ll try.

This  book is a result of over 6 years of work. Perhaps the most difficult job I’ve undertaken so far (besides raising two kids)! But what a rewarding experience it has been!

This journey has involved a lot, including (but not limited to) collecting recipes, testing and retesting them, photographing, doing the dishes, knocking on publishers’ doors and getting rejected, promising that I would not give up and will self-publish, having to coordinate the entire publishing process myself–editing, proofreading, design, photographing, printing–and juggling many other things in-between!

And all this  would not have been possible without the support of many wonderful people who shared their recipes,  stories, and expertise with me, who gave advice, or who simply cheered for me along the way. (You will read about them all in the Acknowledgements in the book.)

Most importantly, without  the readers of AZ Cookbook, this book wouldn’t have been here. I thank you for your support, guys! It all matters. It means a lot to me.

I can’t wait for you to start cooking from the recipes in the book and share your photos and experiences with all  the AZ Cookbook fans!

Hey! This photo below can talk! Here’s what it says: I am Baku-style pakhlava (baklava). I am luscious. I am delicious. But I am not easy to bake without a good recipe. But wait! You can bake me as I am included in Feride’s cookbook. Feride says I am her favorite recipe in the book. I don’t blame her. I am great. Hope you enjoy me after you bake me.
